Through the ages, Yoga has traditionally been taught one-on-one. This enables the teacher to address the individual's needs and modify the practices for each student.
In a private, Psalm encourages the students to set goals and intentions, and to observe their habitual patterns. Students will be given a specific set of body, breathing and meditation exercises that they can use to bring about the positive change they are seeking.
Some students use privates to challenge their bodies and deepen their practice, while other students may never have done yoga before and are turning to it for the first time as a healing modality.
I've been working with Psalm for over a year and have experienced
amazing healing results with her, beyond my dreams and wildest hopes. My
lower back was in extreme pain in every position besides standing or
sitting. Honestly, she was my last hope, and I'm so thankful that my
acupuncturist referred me to her. Before working with her, I had been
to numerous doctors, tried various medicines, worked with physical
therapists, chiropractors, had several MRI's, met with surgeons, and
nothing was working for me. Within a month I saw results and was
looking forward to more! I no longer have the Sciatica nervy- pain that
I used to be plagued with. She also helped me build core strength
throughout my pregnancy and she is now helping me with the recovery from
birth.

Working with you Psalm has been a transformational experience for me. When I came to work with you,
I could barely walk or stand up straight due to the acute edema in my feet and my body was racked with pain.
I was in fact told that I might lose my legs to amputation if something drastic didn't change. In three months,
I can walk straight, I have lost 40lbs, the pain in my feet is almost non-existent and the enzyme count in my
kidneys that was worrying my doctors has gone well into the safe levels. My body is flexible and alive for the
first time in years and I am almost completely pain free.
But the deeper transformation is inside me. The gentle but unrelenting way you bring me to confront not just
the symptoms in my body buttheir deep seated cause in my emotional and mental self has been nothing short of
miraculous. Instead of no-pain-no-gain, there has been only gain and the release of pain. I am not only becoming
a healthier person, I am becoming a more loving, less fearful, more compassionate and freer person. You make it
possible to live the yogi life without any adornment, but simply as a way of being in the world that is loving
and healing, to me and everyone I encounter.
In every session, I feel you are there a hundred and ten percent, you push me right to the
edge but never let me fall over. You allow me to grieve without being self indulgent, you inspire me and make
it safe for me to be completely human (which is not always pretty, but always beautiful). Your compassion and
deep belief in me, in spite of my own fear, is a gift that is worth more than anything I could pay you for the
privates. There are no words in the end for what you have helped me do, Psalm. Stand with my head up and the sun in my face.

I want to thank you for the incredible positive changes that training with you has brought about in my body. After two knee surgeries I went through years of physical therapy that left me with limited mobility. I never thought I would run, jump or even think about snow boarding again. My training with you has changed all lot that. I am better every week and able to do more with less pain. I now know that I will run and hike and snowboard.
My training with you has filled me with the confidence that I am on track to a healthy restored body.
Adding to my amazement about my progress training with you is the fact that I seriously never considered myself a yoga person. In fact I had several bad experiences injuring myself in group classes (not yours!). Between that and my knee surgery I never thought that I would try yoga again. Thankfully our paths crossed. You have made it all so accessible and custom to my body. I feel like a world has been opened up to me.
